THE POWER TO TAX

2 05 2017

Authored by William Robert Barber

It is implied that since the affirmation of this republic the three branches of America’s government are comprised of super-cognitive persons. Nonetheless, the miracle of the 1789 Constitution has been usurped by layers upon layers of wrong-headed judicial interpretation, ideologically driven distortion, and the nonsensical growth of a solo-driven unaccountable bureaucracy dedicated to processing. The law as written is no longer the assessment of its meaning; nowadays, the text of the law is subject to the prevailing thought, societal panache, or the cultural slant of a particular judicial review.

It is these “elected,” possessors of superior cognitive ability, graduates of renowned academies of smartness that rule. Indeed, congress is jam-packed with elected persons modeling many high-achievement validations for smartness.

Respective of being governed by the super-cognitive, laws put upon the governed over the last hundred years, is so burdensomely preponderant in ambiguity that  the common citizen is perplexed as well as wholly dependent on the anointed for a just interpretation. Additionally, covert lawlessness is no longer this nation’s most lethal threat to America’s sovereignty: The lethal threat is the statutorily compliant corruption of America’s original ideals. The perpetrators, the dastardly ones that threaten America’s traditional meaningfulness are the officers of the court and the elected. These persons reside in governments from the federal to the local level; their actions and non-actions have perverted the literal meanings of constitutional covenants and statutory laws to the point of opaque discernment.

The basis of statutory compliant corruption is found in a manifold of distinctive variables. However, the origin that sophisticated the means as well as the pockets of those that governed plus incentivized the proliferation of statutorily compliant corruption was the ratification of the 16th amendment to the constitution. The use of taxation as the utility of legal larceny has been the mainstay cause of governmental enrichment. The enrichment of the governing régime has eliminated the practice of prudent oversight, encouraged deceit, and substituted tolerance for moral compliance. America’s out-of-control national debt and budget deficits are perfect examples of classic financial impairment. Nonetheless, both are ignored as containable by-products of a complex economy; in fact, both debt and deficit are sustained unabated by the elected whose sole interest is retention of status.

Today, the political parties and the media joust over the ideological fairness of taxable nitty-gritties; in my mind’s eye, the concept of taxing individuals is the reasoning of corruptive inducement. Therefore, the less people are taxed, the less inducement for corruption. Yes, government must be funded and taxation is the means; but when one cogitates over the irreconcilable abuse taxation has caused and is causing, the merit of taxation dilutes into a maxim: the less an individual is taxed, the better the socio-economic outcome.

The rational of funding government is sound; it is the implementation of such funding and the distribution system of tax dollars collected that initiates the wherewithal of corruption.

Every citizen should be taxed, otherwise the non-taxed have no measurable in their government. In fact, when one pays no tax whatsoever, is one effectively disenfranchised from citizenship? Those that have the legal definition of “more” should pay a static percentage more than average-taxed person. The sliding scale of taxation is un-American and distinctively unfair.

Taxation is the knife, fork, and spoon; the utility of government excess, indulgence, and corruption — it is the feeder of largeness and disconnect… less is definitively better.

DIVERSITY: THE CONCEPT

10 04 2014

Authored by William Robert Barber

The principle policy of diversity as practiced throughout the institutions of our nation is harmonious with today’s mores of political correctness. Diversity as defined in factual implementation is (solely speaking for myself) the new virtue; its actions parallel the ideals of collectivism — Lenin would surely approve and socialists rejoice. Its meaningfulness in utilitarian terms has had a profound effect upon every aspect of American society. Its legislative or judicial enactment conjures and evokes socio-political concepts and theories such as social justice, societal inequality, equalitarianism, and scientism; these premises are considered (by diversities advocates) synonymous to progressive governance.

The elected leader of diversity is President Obama. The guiding philosophy is progressivism. The means to achieve diversity as instigated by the president (and progressives’ tagalong socio-economic-political connotations) is boundless in temerity. The president considers Machiavellian extralegal tactics as actionable both in scope and methods. For the common and ordinary (person) the president consistently promises more than he can deliver. He creates a non-existent problem so to publicly boast his profound solution; one such problem was “the war on women”… his solution: Vote Democrat. He rhetorically theorizes his willingness to either incur more debt or extort cash from those that have so to (supposedly) give to those that have less. He repeatedly declares, “I have a pen and a phone”, effectually dictating that by executive order he can and will circumvent congress.

The progressives believe that as with Hammurabi’s Code the U.S. Constitution is an antiquated non-applicable document requiring an extensive rewrite. Additionally, a highly thought-of progressives’ ideal is that the legacy of individual freedom and liberty, the principles, spirit, and definition of traditional American values are, as with the philosophy of individualism and existentialism, a menace to their concept of a sophisticated equalitarian society.

The ideological divide between a conservative and a progressive is so divergent, compromise is impossible. This chocolate will NEVER mix with the vanilla; conciliation requires concessions and there will be no substantive give and take. There will only be confrontation, conflict, and frustrated bitterness… until one political philosophy wins dominance.

Interestingly, I believe that even if the progressives should win they will lose: Their ideas just don’t function fluidly in a free society.

DO IT TO ME ONE MORE TIME

26 08 2013

Authored by William Robert Barber

Once again “the people” have witnessed numerous examples of government malfeasance. But the issue of actual concern extends way beyond simple governmental malfeasance:

Withstanding the acceptance that government is a channel of corruption and every government that has ever existed has obliged the curse of dishonesty and exploitation, what the most recent congressional hearings discerned were the overt outlandish lies and distortions forwarded not only by the perpetrators, but also their leaders and particularly the administration’s spokespersons. When the discovery process of congressional oversight is limited to and about political party allegiance instead of striving to attain the truth of the matter; it is only a hop, skip, and jump to the utter destruction of our democratic republic.

From outward (lobbyists, affiliates, those with personal connections — all egocentric influencers of governing policy and procedure) to inward (duplicitous politicians in league with agency leadership that follows political party fidelity above the interest of the nation) including all willing practitioners of statutorily compliant corruption have transformed this nation into a statist- authority-synthesis of its former self.

Regarding the NSA, FBI, CIA, IRS, FEC, EPA, hmm… better to include all government agencies… the issue is not whether these operating entities are statutorily bound to perform their duties; unequivocally they are so bound. The issue is: should the people trust these agencies to comply? Distinctly the answer is: ABSOLUTELY NOT! Government is not a self-monitoring software program; governments are populated and administered by people — and people are fallible.

Congressional oversight of governmental doings is a sober responsibility. But when the conservative majority in the House investigates the workings of the Obama administration the liberal-progressives thwart the conservatives’ efforts because of political concerns. Such conduct is an instance of pure corruption… and frankly, should not be tolerated. Nevertheless, it is not only tolerated but exemplified as the skillful application of one safeguarding political interest.

Governments at every level squander monies, function imprudently, and suffer from Lord Acton’s premise of ‘absolute power corrupts absolutely’. But the further away government is from the governed, the deeper the sins and the wider the corruption. Clearly, the federal government has grown way beyond its ability to effectively function; this factual (although widely accepted) respective of political affiliation is never addressed.

The federal government subsidizes too many entities, benefits too many of the undeserving, and is operating above the law. The federal government has disabled federalism and infected every state in the union with its discretionary distribution of tax revenue. If tax revenue abates, the federal reserve is ready to just print more money. The bigger the government, the more the corruptive influences permeate within and throughout the appendages of governing.

Elections do have consequences…

DEDICATED TO LIBERAL PROGRESSIVES

23 07 2012

Authored by William Robert Barber

“I am Barack Obama and I endorse this message,” by righteous continuance should actually  say, “I know the truth of the matter (regarding this commercial) is distorted to suit focus group interpretation, well, in reality this commercial message is much more than a clever distortion of the truth — it’s an outright lie. But the folk in Peoria will not fact-check the scurrilous charge and besides, the goal is reelection not truthfulness.” The campaign for reelection is not making declarations (against or for) under oath or penalty of perjury; indeed, the statutory rules do not apply. Campaigning for elective office accepts outright lies as overstatements or understatements of the truth, understandable hyperbole, a moral and ethical ‘get out of jail’ pass; in other words, politicians are excused from the truth of the matter.

“I am,” the president concedes, “thankful that the media is ideologically in lockstep to my political ideals and cannot imagine the challenge to my reelection if this bias in my favor was not so. Nevertheless,” the president continues, “it’s not as if the people do not understand my political and economic ideals; after all, I am a Chicago politician and I have been president for almost four years.”

I think that the liberal progressives believe that their ideology is one of enlightenment, that their understandings are above the chaos of the mundane and societal ordinary; they believe in President Obama and accept that he is a leader of vision and uncanny insight.

The president therefore acknowledges that he is a harbinger. He is duty-bound despite popular resistance and even if contrary to the constitution, he is compelled to act in the interest of the people. In his teachings (speeches) to the populous, President Obama has taught us that a majority of issues and legislative concerns are beyond the intellectual comprehension of the common citizen. Consequentially, at least half the people are instinctual followers, subordinate to the thesis of his teachings, and hence reasonable. But there is the troublesome other half or so; they do not understand what is in their best interest (the ones that pay federal income taxes) and resist the president’s decisions. They are, as President Obama has identified, contrarians for no other cause than to be difficult. The president justifiably calls these persons ignoramuses inclined to the ruse of arrogance. They are obstinately opposed to what has been decided (after careful consideration by President Obama and his confederates) to be in their best interest. The president understands their cultural and societal shortcomings demonstrated by their clinging to bibles, guns, and antiquated distinct American beliefs.

Liberal progressives and the president understand that corporate corruption is ubiquitous; that corporations are prompted by a greed quotient to the edges of the insatiable. The president is wholly cognizant that business is inclined to put profit in front of social justice. He has ordered government regulators to keep an ever firmer grip on businesses’ constancy of striving to make more money for insiders and shareholders while not paying their “fair share” of taxes. These companies — we all know which they are — lead by capitalist seeking to undermine and eventually disband unions, are resisting “change we can believe in.” They must be stopped.

The president is at the bare minimum a liberal progressive who espoused a European socialistic way of life. But no matter what he or his confederates do, they cannot put the round into the square and maintain the circle of round. Government is reliant on private businesses for taxes; if private businesses employ fewer, less individual taxes are collected. If government does not cut its cost of operating by half, the running of services rendered, whether these services are good or nonsensical, will cost more than net tax revenue. Good intentions can only print so much fiat currency before the faith in its value is eroded.

Although reality can be deferred, it will always win over pretense and wishfulness; in the ultimate finality, the expenditures of status quo governing is unsustainable. So WAKE UP, AMERICA! Vote conservative… and end this president’s bid for reelection!

OUTSOURCING — ANTI-AMERICAN OR A CRIME? REALLY?!

15 07 2012

Authored by William Robert Barber

Outsourcing seems to be the bone of contention between the political clans Obama and Romney. For inexplicable reasons (well, it seems inexplicable only to me), the idea, concept, and practice of outsourcing is anti-American or counter to the working peoples of America… or something like that. The supposition is that outsourcing is counter to America’s economic interest. My assumption is that (obviously I am wrongheaded) every able bodied individual with an 8th grade education would understand that trade is international. That American companies are in every geographic sector of the world and correspondingly, international (non-American) companies are operating in America; outsourcing is not only commonplace, it is the international business norm.

American companies operating in a United Europe can only operate in those countries if they are duly licensed and compliant to domicile rules and regulations. So in Germany, IBM is a German company. The currency is €uro and the labor force is predominately German. Such is the circumstance for every country that for example Procter and Gamble operates within the global economy… Is that outsourcing?

This entire argument is totally stupid. The president willfully and with purposeful intent internationally outsource(d) stimulus funds: he invested in Brazilian oil exploration, the World Bank, and International Monetary Fund; besides the State Department spends billions in foreign aid supposedly to garner commercial support, and through the UN’s corruptive means & ways the US sends billions of dollars, willy-nilly, all over the world.

Rome is burning and Obama wants to discuss when Romney left Bain Capital… and in his defense, Romney cannot muster up the truth of the matter.

The problem within the EU is not whether austerity or growth is the answer; the problem is its policy of social solidarity since post WWII. The issue at hand is satisfying an addiction to a belief that entitlement is a basic human right. The enormous social security and entitlement promises made over successive political administrations was founded on the premise that borrowing into the future was the god sent economic surety. People wanted to believe that lifelong protection was feasible, and most importantly that such an entitlement would not infringe on their personal liberty and freedom. So they baked the cherry pie à la mode and ate it all… now what? Wait a minute, isn’t that the issue at hand here in the good ole USA?

There are those that believe that the financial burden must now fall on those that have. No matter if you attained your wealth by the sweat of one’s brow and the risk of one’s own monies, the wealthy are to share their wealth with those that have less. Ideally, this dividing of wealthy resources should go on until everyone is denominated to less rather than more. For the liberal progressives this is the perfect example of fairness…let’s call it righteous fairness.

If spreading the wealth is slowed down by those nasty conservatives, there is always inflation. Negating the U. S. Congress Act of 1792 that declared currency debasement a felony punishable by death because it constituted theft from the citizenry. These very same suggest that inflation is an alternative that either is commensurate with spreading the wealth or certainly an economic model valued enough to implement at will.

Obama and Romney both graduated from Harvard with a degree in something or other; nevertheless, one blast (knowing otherwise) outsourcing as counter to America’s economic interest and the other can’t seem to grasps the reins of deductive logic to declare outsourcing; simply put, in the interest of America as well as a by-product of international trade. I think both should sue the university and get their tuition money refunded. Neither one has learned anything at Harvard…

THE EROSION OF INDIVIDUAL LIBERTY

9 07 2012

Authored by William Robert Barber

The Constitution of 1789 has since its affirmation been parsed, freely interpreted, redefined, and adjudicated as well as having its thesis, spirit — even its contextual edicts all together! — subordinated to whim of presidential executive order. The original ideal of limited government has been confiscated, individual liberty subjected, the power of governmental taxation judged unlimited, and for businesses the freedom to act severely curtailed by appointed regulators. This nation is evolving from a nation of laws to one of men; the amount of enforcement discretion (of existing laws) is held in the hand of a few.

Federal agencies and departments ignore, circumvent, and deceive the orders of their congressional supervisors; process has displaced truth telling, attorneys have disabled the simplicity of truthfulness, and President Obama will make any promise, break any promise, manipulate half-truths, lie, falsify, distort, and deceive in order to win reelection.

Instead of adhering to the constitutional mandate of oversight, writing and passing a budget, congress,  particularly over the last century, has ceded much of its original constitutional authority to the executive branch. Indeed, recent history suggests that congress prefers contentious contrarianism and loyalty to political party over constructive legislative action. Federalism,  checks & balance, enumerated, implied, and expressed powers — the initial cornerstone of The Constitution — is subject not to literal interpretation but the whimsical of ideologues and the strength of their power base. Like a soap opera appealing to advertisers and the flighty emotions of a public overwhelmed by events difficult to comprehend, news reporting, more than ever before, is ideologically biased. The ‘free press’ has not only taken ideological sides, similar to a Hollywood production it writes, directs, produces, and presents the news from an entertaining opinion only perspective.

Unequivocally congress, often covertly, sometimes overtly, but always with purposeful intent, has neglected its direct responsibilities. The elected rely on legal opinions, unelected staff, a multitude of appointed attorneys, and lobbyists to write legislation; the elected need not read nor understand the very laws they vote for or against.  The administrative process is more important than what is being administrated. The game of chessman-craft has replaced Washingtonian leadership. Politicians and the gamesmanship of politics supersede good-sense; appointed regulators instead of legislators discern the meaningfulness of laws. Government apparatuses specifically designed to discombobulate transparency, purposefully create a wholly ambiguous bureaucratic process… all the while the size and power of the federal government is enhanced. The idea of statesmanship, public service in the interest of the nation, has been eclipsed by deviously crafty practitioners of politics whose only interest is retaining or attaining office.

Government has enabled an economy founded on the ridiculous premise that borrowing can substitute for organic “buy/sell” transactions; clearly, the circulation of borrowed monies derived from printing fiat currency utilizing the government as the costly intermediary distributor at the cost of rising deficits is absurd.

Government cannot create jobs — its role is much simpler: Do no harm. Nevertheless, congress led by nape-of-the-neck by the office of the presidency (of both parties) has progressively insisted on federal-funded stimuli as an economic policy. Recently, such funding was shrouded under the heading of “shovel-ready infrastructure,” public-employment support for States, and sustaining or favoring a variety of union initiatives; I say balderdash. This economic stimulus has more to do with rewarding political confederates, enabling the election of Democratic or Republican brethren, and playing a tune that placates or pays off their constituents than encouraging fiscal growth.

What this nation requires (and that will never happen) is a constitution convention; a reestablishing of maxims that reinforce the Founders’ original intent: Limited government. However, in real terms the only true alternative to the chaos of President Obama’s liberal progressivism-socialism-elitism is to capture congress and the presidency. We’ll all see soon enough if the 50% of the voting public who pay no federal taxes, the Hispanics, Americans of African descent, and unionist favor the Obama continuance by voting for their hero…

OBAMA! GOVERNING OR CAMPAIGNING?

23 10 2011

Authored by William Robert Barber

Have we Americans become so disconnected from the plain, simple, and obvious, the logical and deductive, that we can be influenced into believing that President Obama’s $447 billion jobs-stimulus bill is genuinely a presidential effort to promote job growth? Or is it that the Obama administration’s focus is on his reelection and the jobs bill is a tactical ruse, a means to a political end? Is it possible that this president, the superb elocutionist, after the results of his personally guided and endorsed legislative actions are measured; wherein the meaningfulness of such a measurement indicates anemic economic growth and high unemployment… Is this president going to win over the American people with his rhetorical sleight-of-hand? The president’s recent words, policies, and self-touting performances, inclusively mimicked by his progressive ducklings, are undeniably the dealings of a man and office striving for reelection. This looks and sounds like a man who conceitedly believes everything his vice-president and publicist convey.

The opening scene on the Obama campaign for reelection melodrama is a picture of all cheering his carte du jour of scurrilous slander, lies, deceitful exaggerations, and other such banal accusations. He is always choreographed standing with and encircled by the usual suspects that composite the Obama entourage: Public union bosses, their employees, progressive-ideologically inclined benefactors, civil servant bureaucrats, and empathic elected officials of the liberal progressive Democratic persuasion.

The president is professionally staged to be viewed by the populous as a leader wholesomely propagating the righteousness of his cause. He induces a call-to-arms (the repetitive Obama rant) attacking Republicans, specifically by name, to “straighten-up and fly-right,” and pass my jobs bill.

This is the very same ‘job bill’ defeated in the Senate by members of his own party.

Herein is the conundrum for Obama and his liberal progressives: Socialism whether European, Cuban, N. Korean, Venezuelan, or the current American style does not work. Aside from a nation fully committed to a war of survival, a nation therefore, willingly ceding constitutional guarantees for the perceived safety of martial law, the idea that the wise and the expert can accurately central plan the workings of a diverse domestic economy is a fantasy; a Wizard of Oz scenario that has been played out many times to the same failed result. The concept that the taxpayer funding of government largeness will inspire, catalysis, spawn, and electrify a substantial growth of private enterprise is absurd. Indeed funding government such as the Bush stimulus, TARP, or the Obama stimulus, an act ostensibly designed to stimulate the private economy, resulted instead, in supporting unions, sustaining the excessive cost of governing, aided and assisted in the corrupting of original intent, encouraged wastefulness, and enabled the status quo.

Not only is President Obama arrogantly disingenuous when promoting his jobs bill; he is in unison, ignorantly dismissing the palpable: The social and entitlement justice that complements the Obama ideal of how to engineer the American economy is not only impossible to profitably put into practice, the norms required for implementation is directly contrary to the required fiscal, cultural, and statutory environment to maintain a robust American style capitalistic system.

Prompted by the three branches of government, the feds, by means legal and extralegal, are operating beyond and outside of well-defined constitutional limits, the very premeditated concerns of the Founders have come into being, the pillars that established the legal basis of a nation of laws not of men is now, once again, in jeopardy. Liberal progressives manipulate, trounce, envelope, and ignore the meaningfulness of the words and spirit of the U.S. Constitution; regretfully, such contrivances are not limited to the Democratic Party, nevertheless, President Obama and his confederates have exponentially exemplified the discernible meaning of a liberal-progressive social justice conscious entitlement enriching government.

It is time get these buggers out of office…
