A REPUBLIC IMPAIRED

24 10 2016

One could prudently concede that a government is an indispensable, a public requirement of and for the functional assurance of society. It befalls to those in positions of respect and societal rank to establish said government. The presumption is that these framers of the government are motivated by reason and rationality. It is in the prudent application of such that necessitates a constitution. Noting the intrinsic dangers of a willful government, the constitution is purposely structured to limit the power of their indispensable creation.

Nevertheless, almost immediately after the constitution is affirmed and ratified, the very same duly elected — though sworn to constitutional adherences — abandon their oath so to attain intangible and tangible power. The very same who affirm the constitution willfully succumb to the base nature of self-serving interest. They hypocritically, with arrogant pretension and hubris discharge, pervert the meaningfulness and spirit of constitutional covenants and tenets. These are the licensed, the elected, the appointed, and their acolytes — the crème de la crème of America’s cognoscenti that is responsible for the destruction of this republic.

Their perversion of the literal interpretation of the founding document is expedited by the formation of political parties. Constitution be-damn! The political parties’ sole mission, by any means, including covert extralegal and overt illegal, is the election of their candidate and the implementation of their particular ideology.

The post 1789 constitutional amendments favor the ruse of democratic principles, but in fact, these amendments have abated the essence, the inherent justice, the rational empirical reason of a consequential republic. The implied and expressed powers of the constitution in unanimity with the requirements for checks and balances, the covenants of federalism, separate but equal branches of government, and the extra-constitutional rise of the executive branch significantly diminish the operational merits of our nation’s constitution.

The application of politics, particularly in an election year, is considered by the untainted (voters) as an art form of indulgence. An indulgence rife with askant repute; the politician is at worst a liar and at best a prolific embellisher. Certainly (according to public sentiment), the practice of politicking is a reprehensible art form wherein all practitioners are culpable of aiding and abetting governmental corruption.

Hillary Clinton, the very embodiment of governmental corruption, a liar, a person of disrepute is the electorate’s choice… A truly amazing indicator of why this republic is impaired. The vestiges of the republic have finally evolved into a bureaucratically enabled plutocracy where “the ambiguity of the process” undermines individualism, self-reliance, liberty, and personal freedom.

Regretfully, Mr. Franklin, we were unable to hold on to our republic…

THE ELECTION BEFORE US

16 10 2016

Authored by William Robert Barber

In the year 1781, adjoining Yorktown, Virginia British General Charles Lord Cornwallis surrendered to General Washington while tradition recalls the British band playing an English ballad, “The World Turned Upside Down”. This American military victory was unbelievable.

The election of 2016 is a shining reflection of wanderings amiss, another unbelievable: Two wholly unqualified candidates are the electorates’ choice. In this election, innuendos, rumors, and factoids have suppressed the normalities of voter concerns, policies, and issues. The only pertinent question is: which one of the two nominees is the worst?

Long ago, American individualism was forsaken for the opaque assurance of personal security. The prevalent idea that government knows best has prompted a domestic policy wherein amoral secularism has inspired a predisposition to further — no matter the empirical evidence to the contrary — the outright dismissal of competitive ideals. Liberal progressivism has engulfed and is chocking the vitality out of the credo of American exceptionalism.  Congress and the Constitution: Be damned! Progressive leadership favors depositing American foreign policy decisions to the feckless United Nations; multilateralism and the internationalism of European socialism is their ultimate goal.

In today’s complex of technological options the means and power to influence thought is mighty. The media, all types and varieties, have extraordinary power over voter behavior. In this election cycle a lie, a purposeful misdirection, a circumvention of the truth in the interest of conflation or befuddlement has been lethally weaponized.

An overwhelming amount of television and news print media has taken as a mission of consequence the political defeat of Donald Trump. They equate Trump as a bête noire, a person that is irredeemably a hundred times as dangerous as Nixon.

As a standalone Trump is contestably far from the average presidential hopeful. However, compare the two: Trump’s faux claims, his past disgusting unsolicited sensual advances toward women, his inability to disguise his narcissism, and his instinctual self-destructive behavior versus Hillary Clinton’s unabashed persistence of lying directly to the American people, her decisions regarding Russian engagement, the Iranian deal, her disastrous approach to Libya coupled with her unforgivably incorrigible acts and non-acts regarding Benghazi. Trump is no prize — but his actions never killed people! Hillary, in concert with President Obama, is directly responsible for the deaths of thousands.

Hillary is an ideologically dedicated progressive who will undermine this nation’s constitution. Donald is not Hillary… and the world has turned upside down; given the choice before me I will vote for Donald.

NO MATTER WHAT: THE ONLY CHOICE IS TRUMP

9 10 2016

Authored by William Robert Barber

The peripheral, the outer edges of principal are the media’s emphasis of and for this election’s Republican protagonist. Although awash in hypocrisy and outright duplicity, The New York Times enunciates Trump’s wholly legal 1995 tax return as some kind of moral insight. Pronouncing Trump sinful for adhering to (while benefiting from!) the tax laws of the land, interestingly, the management of the (NYT) did not in the same article report that the newspaper acted in exactness on its own tax returns and accordingly benefited.

In the present, the radio and televised media is shocked, even traumatized and of course offended, by an eleven-year old crude locker-room type recording of Trump and Billy Bush’s stupid apathetically delivered fabrication of their imaginative thoughts on the general behavioral instincts of women.

I am in my 73rd  year of existence; I can assure my readership that, no matter their station in life, just about all men have said stupid, insensitive untruths about their counter-gender. Seemingly, to be male is to be born with a debilitating software defect. Compared to females, males are slow learners and take forever to mature. I present this debility of my gender not as an excuse for the ridiculous idiocy of Trump and Billy Bush’s recorded conversation but to note, in the scheme of electoral importance, its irrelevancy.

There is no justification for this sort of stupid. Nonetheless, even when armed with the cognitive knowledge to know better and when the truth of the matter is palpable, we all have been practitioners of stupid comments and behavior.

However, as a voter, one’s analysis of Hillary Clinton’s ideological persuasion, her mantra of liberal progressive declarations and her determinative Machiavellian approach to politics defines the ethos of her personal reflective representation. Measure Clinton’s transgressions against the misbehaviors and indiscretions of Trump’s:

Benghazi: because of a pending election she collaborated with the Obama administration’s deceit and patently lied to the American people while Trump was wasting time and energy, striving to prove that President Obama was not born in the USA. As Secretary of State she perpetuated a policy of deceit and ignored the rescue of Americans fighting off a terrorist attack she defined as the result of a nasty video. Trump on the other hand was busy with the benign silliness of striving to disprove a Honolulu, HI issued birth certificate.

The Iranian deal as negotiated, affirmed, and touted by Clinton is an exemplar of definitive absurdity. An incongruity of good sense, rated above the stupidity (upon our withdrawal from Iraq) of not leaving in place a viable contingent of fighting forces supposedly because of the lack of a “status of forces agreement,” noting we presently have thousands of military in Iraq and these troops are operating without a “status of forces” agreement. In 2010 Biden wrongheadedly assured the American public that the withdrawal from Iraq “is one of the greatest achievements” of the Clinton-Obama administration, but another instance of innocence blatantly applied. One can objectively conclude that the Iranian agreement, as with the withdrawal from Iraq, is the result of an administration adrift in naiveté. The sum of facts founded on deductive deduction persuades one to believe that Clinton’s progressive Democrats lack a commonsensical understanding of world affairs. While Trump tweets nonsensical jabs of blank importance that fundamentally injure only his own persona, Clinton and President Obama’s policy decisions have actually caused death and destruction. They have, with the aid and assist of a dedicated cadre of liberal progressives, advanced otherwise unnecessary Diaspora of refugees and general mayhem throughout Europe. Conclusively, Trump is the only possible choice; Hillary Clinton is an anathema to a conservative America.

THEY CALL THEIR STANDS A MORAL IMPERATIVE

9 09 2016

Authored by William Robert Barber

“Never Trump,” the battle cry of and from the disenchanted who obstinately pledge a no-vote for Trump. How incredibly stupid is that! Imagine the thought process of the “Never Trump” cadre: These otherwise conservative Republicans are asserting their sensibilities of conscience. A moral vector deep within their ethos of righteousness has prompted these otherwise conservative voters to enlist (by not overtly voting for Trump) in the election of a liberal progressive with a proven track record of habitually lying to the American people. Effectually, these righteous ones, prompted by a binding moral obligation of their own creation, will directly assist in the election of an immoral/amoral person to the presidency of the United States?

Interestingly, the “Never Trump” movement is sprinkled with the crème de la crème of the respected intelligentsia of the conservative perspective. Their brethren of such electoral dumbness includes spiteful politicians, political operatives, as well as the contrarians of sanity who cannot get past the fact that Trump, against all odds of doing so, won the primary.

Trump’s policy flip-flops, his constancy of wasting time and resources while responding to personal issues of collateral importance, his off-the-cuff speechifying initiating subsequent clarifications, his inclinations for panegyric self-indulgence, and his habitual exclamations of assertions that are often scurrilously inflammatory — all of these behavioral dysfunctions require modification or deletion.

Mrs. Clinton’s judgments, just on the Libyan debacle, without considering the loss of life in Benghazi and her insistence on faulting a video as the cause du jour, plus lying to the families of the Benghazi fallen is sufficient evidence of her dire lack of trustworthiness and an inescapable example of operational incompetence. Of course she will continue the willfulness of progressivism, the purposeful extension of Obama-ism, and the Europeanism of America.

Amazingly, the “Never Trump” entourage concedes the effectual counter-to-the-constitution results of a Clinton presidency; and still, they persist in their anti-Trump declarations.

If Hillary Clinton should win this election and the Republicans lose the Senate, we can kiss the land of the free and home of the brave away… because we conservatives will be the fox, hunted by the hounds.

Certainly, the “Never Trump” folks will be part of the blame…

THE GREAT TRUMP GIVE-AWAY

6 08 2016

Authored by William Robert Barber

The prevailing discourse amongst the Trump camp is bellum omnium contra omnes, “war of all against all”: This circular ambush seemingly dominates the theme and premise of Trump’s presidential candidacy. Nonetheless, in this election, there are no innocents. The childhood adage “sticks and stones may break my bones” has a new ending: “but, words of invectiveness will win me the election.” In this election, factoids are prevalent and the “truth of the matter” is irrelevant.

Hillary Clinton is a liar extraordinaire. She is a deceiver on steroids. Her tenure as Secretary of State was exampled by poor to horrible situation analysis. Moral righteousness and common sensibility are not intrinsic to Hillary’s character. Even though besmirched by the constancy of personal corruptive behavior, with a series of foreign policy setbacks, and a convincing berating by the Director of the FBI, none of these scurrilous accounts matter; her unwavering support from the liberal progressive media overcomes and overwhelms.

Clinton’s political skills complement Talleyrand.

Nonetheless, in the presidential election of 2016 — because candidate Trump, the narcissist, the blowhard, the arrogant trumpeter, cannot stay on message –America will suffer a tragedy that will rival the fall of Constantinople.

The Republican Party will not act to replace Trump; therefore, the party is as culpable as Trump in the forthcoming destruction of conservative America.

SLEEPWALKING OVER THE ABYSS

12 07 2015

Authored by William Robert Barber

Because truth telling has uncontrollable consequences and overt lying has prosecutorial implications, Obscurantism is the day-to-night practice of political and bureaucratic leadership. Legal advice has not only subverted the mandate of truth telling; these advisors have diminished congressional oversight into a partisan inspired game show. Imagine what the average “Joe and Josephine” must be thinking when IRS Commissioner Koskinen overtly lies to Congress, Lois Lerner refuses to testify, and both walk away free and clear of prosecution! Yet, if a citizen responded to an IRS inquiry in the same manner, severe reprimand would be sure to follow.

A politician lies to the electorate. Distinguished pundits and mainstream media all sit around agreeing that the politician lied. Interestingly, the pundits go on, agreeing that from the highest in recognition to the anonymous lie. However, the pundits reason because the common denominative amongst the political class is duplicity and since the practice is common, the lying from a politician is not considered lying but benign embellishment.

Television media in particular (but all media, really) when interviewing a guest no matter if the guest is a wonk, a celebrity, or an elected official. The host seeks controversy… any kind of controversy will do. No matter the particular: the questions are more bait than a substantive inquiry. This approach by media feeds into the reasoning of the guest not answering the question. Interviews are a jousting event wherein, like President Obama, the tactic is to elongate the answer, which in its finality is not an answer at all.

The founding premise of a democratic republic is an informed constituency that populates a land where the law is superior to the person. However, in America discretion has superseded lawfulness. In America an entire city ignores even subvert federal law because city leadership has decided to do so. The Justice Department willfully intercedes into the policing duties of a city; it can, as if issuing a criminal RICO indictment, subject any person, business, or municipality to their scrutiny.

We have allowed the country to sleepwalk to the edge of the abyss because truth telling has uncontrollable consequences and overt lying (unless one is a politician or a federal) has prosecutorial implications. Wake up America, wake up…
